Product and Installation Warranty


PRODUCT AND INSTALLATION WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Warranty Overview

This warranty is applicable to the original purchaser of both the product and installation services. It covers defects in materials, workmanship, and installation quality during normal use and service conditions for the specified duration from the date of purchase or installation, provided that documentation is presented as proof.

2. Warranty Periods

• Product Warranty:

o The product is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 3 years for AC products from the date of purchase.

o The product is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 2 years for DC products from the date of purchase.

o The product is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1 year for Portable chargers from the date of purchase.

• Installation Warranty:

o Installation services are warranted for 1 year from the date of installation, covering any defect in charger infrastructure materials and faults due to improper installation performed by authorized personnel/agent.

3. Product Warranty Coverage

The Product Warranty covers:

• Defects in materials and workmanship of the product under normal usage.

During the warranty period, if a defect is found, the company will repair or replace the defective product at no cost to the customer, subject to the terms and exclusions stated below.

4. Installation Warranty Coverage

The Installation Warranty covers:

• Defect arising on materials and parts installed, known as charger infrastructure and workmanship.

During the installation warranty period, if any charger infrastructure installation defect are discovered, the company will correct the installation or replace faulty parts.

5. Exclusions

The following are excluded from both the product and installation warranties:

• Normal wear and tear
• Damage caused by improper use, abuse, neglect, mishandling, accidents, or external factors such as weather conditions.
• Unauthorized repairs or modifications
• Products installed by unauthorized personnel or improper installation practices performed by the company’s authorized personnel/agent.
• Product and/or installation not following manufacturer installation guidelines and not following standard Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia GUIDE ON ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING SYSTEM (EVCS).
• Damage caused by environmental conditions such as floods, fire, or electrical surges.
• Consumable parts (e.g., filters, charging cables) unless proven defective in materials or workmanship
 

6. Service Charge for Warranty Verification

If the product was not installed or the installation of charger infrastructure is not performedby the company’s authorized personnel/agent, a service charge may be applied prior to warranty verification and troubleshooting. This charge covers the mobilization, inspection and verification process to determine whether the product defect is eligible for warranty coverage.

7. Warranty Remedies

Upon verification of a valid warranty claim, the company will, at its discretion:

• For Product Warranty claims:
o Repair or replace the defective product with an identical or equivalent product
• For Installation Warranty claims:
o Correct or re-perform the installation to address any issues covered under the warranty
o Repair or replace the defective product with an identical or equivalent parts.

Any repaired or replaced products and parts or services will be covered under the remaining duration of the original warranty period.

8. Limitations of Liability

The company’s liability under this warranty is limited solely to the repair or replacement of defective products, parts, or services. The company shall not be held liable for any incidental or consequential damages, including, but not limited to, costs related to the repair or replacement of the product or other expenses incurred by the user. This specifically excludes any costs associated with the removal or replacement of the product, as well as any losses or damages resulting from, or related to, actions by unknown individuals or unauthorized personnel/agent.

The terms of this warranty clause may be modified from time to time in accordance with the manufacturer’s terms and conditions and applicable governing law.

9. Transferability

This warranty is transferable and applies exclusively to the product. Subject to the company approval.

10. Governing Law

This warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia,without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
